Hon. Amaka Obi Attends Ifite Egbeadiji Christmas Carnival, Commends Chief Hamilton Ezeonu For Preserving Culture
The Mayor of Idemili South local government area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata), alongside Deputy Mayor, Hon. Ifeanyi Anakuba, Idemili South APGA Chairman, Chief Kizito Anoliefo, Leader of the House, Hon. Ernest Ezeunyim and stakeholders attended Ifite Egbeadiji Christmas carnival at Nnobi, Idemili South local government area, Anambra State.
The carnival which was organized by a business magnate and a Philanthropist, High Chief Emeka Hamilton Ezeonu(Ikenga Nnobi) was witnessed by men and women of goodwill including Chief of Staff to Anambra State Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Engr. Nick Obi, and Commissioner For Entertainment, Culture and Tourism, Hon. Don Onyenji.
Council Mayor hailed Chief Ezeonu for his effort towards preserving the culture and tradition in the community, stating that the event was highly impressive. She said that this is the only way that cultural heritage could be preserved and boosted if given the necessary support.


While appreciating Chief Ezeonu for taking it upon himself to organize the event, she advised parents to speak their mother tongue to their children and make up time to bring them to cultural activities in order to preserve our culture from instinction.
She further said that the event was educative, entertaining and prayed God to continue blessing Chief Ezeonu and his wife, Dr. Ezeonu for investing in the cultural heritage of the people in order to preserve it.
Highlight of the event was massive empowerment sponsored by High Chief Emeka Hamilton Ezeonu and his wife, Dr. Mrs Thelma Ezeonu.
